  • Chickweed: Broadleaf weed with small white flowers and elongated petals. It has large egg-shaped leaves with pointy tips.
  • Henbit and purple deadnettle: Two very similar broadleaf weeds with small, horn-shaped purple flowers that grow on the top of long stems. They often grow together and look similar.
  • White clover: Very common broadleaf weed with traditionally white or purple flowers. Distinguishable by its three-leaf pattern.
  • Ground ivy: Aggressive broadleaf weed with small blue flowers and fan, cone-shaped leaves.

  • Crabgrass: Long, thick, and tall, crabgrass is in the grass family, but grows in a thicker and less attractive pattern outward from a central point.
  • Yellow Nutsedge: Highly intrusive sedge-weed, the Yellow Nutsedge actually resembles grass blades, but is thicker, grows taller, and has a tuber underneath that is edible.
